Type pairs
The ENFP and INTJ make a pedagogue pair: they share two functions in swapped positions, so each can teach the other something. No pairing is guaranteed, but these two minds fit together in unusually specific ways. Here's why they tend to click, and where they can clash.
Teacher and student
Every type has all eight cognitive functions, in a different order. The top four form the ego, the side of the mind a person uses most. The bottom four form the shadow, which is less conscious, more pessimistic, and used less often.
The ENFP and INTJ lead with opposite sides of the same perceiving function, and share the same two judging functions, Fi and Te, in swapped positions. Fi is the ENFP's Parent but only the INTJ's Child, while Te is the INTJ's Parent and the ENFP's Child. That makes each one a natural teacher for the other in one of these areas.

Where they meet
The ENFP and INTJ meet as opposites on their perceiving functions, and as teacher and student on the two judging functions they share.
Ne Hero and Ni Hero
The ENFP's flexible Ne can help the INTJ plan, opening up options for the vision the INTJ's Ni wants. In return, the INTJ can help the ENFP choose one path and commit to it.
Fi Parent and Fi Child
Fi belongs to both of them, but it's the ENFP's Parent and only the INTJ's Child. The ENFP can teach staying true to personal values here, and the INTJ can bring an innocent optimism to it, as long as they don't turn it into a competition.
Te Child and Te Parent
Te shows up in both of them: strongest in the INTJ (Parent) and still developing in the ENFP (Child). That makes the INTJ a natural guide for finding reliable information, while the ENFP's enthusiasm keeps it from feeling like a chore. The risk is that they start keeping score.
Si Aspirational and Se Aspirational
Neither is naturally strongest with day-to-day practicalities, so together they may need to build structure on purpose.
How they work together
The ENFP is a Starter: they tend to kick things off, bring people in, and have the most energy at the beginning. The INTJ is a Finisher: they tend to respond rather than initiate, and they like carrying a project through to completion.
Starters and Finishers often get along well. They share a love of progression, so they move at the same pace, and they tend to enjoy relationships where new experiences keep things alive.
Their communication styles balance out too. The ENFP gives context and detail; the INTJ gets straight to the point. One keeps the conversation rich, the other keeps it moving.

Takes what's been started and carries it to the end.
Temperaments
Both temperaments are abstract, focused on ideas, meaning, and the future. The ENFP is an Idealist, who likes to work through problems together with others. The INTJ is an Intellectual, who prefers an independent approach focused on what works.
They balance each other out: one brings people into the picture, the other brings a clear-headed focus on results. The same difference can cause friction when one wants to talk a problem through together and the other wants to solve it alone.
The honest part
Sharing two functions gives them plenty to teach each other, but it also gives them two places to compete.
A note on compatibility: no pairing guarantees a good relationship, and no pairing rules one out. Type explains tendencies. How healthy and developed each person is matters far more than which four letters they have.
